Water-Sunday, May 27

The road walking continued with a brief respite of 6 miles of trail, but the big focus of the day was WATER! This was a particularly dry section and we depended on the availability of water at two solar wells installed and maintained for cattle.
The first we shared with the intended clientele, and it was a bit of a challenge to get fresh water rather than the standing water in the tank. Don't be deceived, Fat Albert makes it look easy.
The second water source was just after hitting the highway, and we made it a goal to get there before the sun went down. The well was still pumping fresh water into the tank and we filled up with enough for dinner, breakfast and the 16 miles until the next water.
